Job Description

Job Overview :
We are looking for a caring, energetic, and dedicated toddler teacher to join our team. As an Assistant Teacher, you will be responsible for guiding and nurturing toddlers through their early developmental milestones in a warm and supportive environment. Your role will focus on promoting social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while fostering a love for learning through play, exploration, and structured activities.
Key Responsibilities :
Create a
Positive Learning Environment :
Design and maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming classroom where toddlers can explore, learn, and grow.
Plan Developmentally Appropriate Activities :
Develop and implement activities that are engaging, educational, and fun, focusing on developing language, motor skills, socialization, and early problem-solving.
Encourage Social and Emotional Development :
Support toddlers in developing positive social behaviors, helping them learn to share, communicate, and manage emotions.
Observe and Track Development :
Regularly observe and document each child's progress, noting developmental milestones and any challenges, and share this information with parents.
Ensure Safety and Well-Being :
Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment, ensuring that all safety protocols and hygiene standards are followed at all times.
Foster Positive Relationships :
Build strong, trusting relationships with toddlers and their families, offering open communication about the child's day, development, and any concerns. Collaborate with
Team :
Work closely with other teachers, staff, and the leadership team to create a cohesive and supportive classroom environment.
Parent Communication :
Provide regular updates to parents about their child's progress, behavior, and activities, and work together to address any specific needs or concerns.
Professional Development :
Stay updated with best practices in early childhood education and participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; a degree or certification in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field preferred. Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a childcare or educational setting is highly preferred. Strong understanding of early childhood development, including language, social, emotional, and physical growth. Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Creative, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with young children. CPR and First Aid certification Ability to maintain a positive, caring, and respectful attitude in a classroom environment.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to lift and carry children (up to 50 pounds) and engage in physical activities such as bending, kneeling, sitting on the floor, and standing for extended periods.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$15.00 - $17.00 per hour
