Mayville State University, Mayville, ND Compensation:
Hiring Range:
$38,521 - $45,902 Commensurate with qualifications and experience
Benefits:

TBD Position Information Mayville State University, an NAIA institution and member of the Frontier Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Golf Coach / HPER Instructor. This 50/50 position combines coaching responsibilities within the men's and women's golf programs with teaching responsibilities in the HPER Division. The successful candidate will assist in recruiting and developing student-athletes, support a competitive golf program, and contribute to student success both in the classroom and on the course. Mayville State supports year-round golf development through access to the Mayville Golf Club and an on-campus golf simulator. Responsibilities Assistant Golf Coach (50%) Assist in all aspects of the men's and women's golf programs. Assist with recruiting, retaining, and developing student-athletes. Support practices, competitions, team travel, and player development activities. Promote academic success, sportsmanship, and personal growth among student-athletes. Assist with fundraising, camps, clinics, and community outreach efforts. Support recruiting initiatives that contribute to program and university growth. Ensure compliance with NAIA, Frontier Conference, and university policies. Perform other duties as assigned. HPER Instructor (50%) Teach undergraduate HPER courses consistent with departmental needs and qualifications. Advise students and support their academic success. Participate in assessment, curriculum development, and program review activities. Serve on university and departmental committees. Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student learning and institutional goals. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in HPER or related field. Successful playing and/or coaching experience in golf at the collegiate or high school level. Ability to teach at the college level. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and fulfill travel requirements. Valid driver's license required. Preferred Qualifications Collegiate coaching experience. Previous college teaching experience. Demonstrated success in recruiting and student-athlete development. Knowledge of NAIA athletics. Why Mayville State?
