Teacher Assistant

Responsibilities:

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing educational activities and lesson plans
• Provide support to students with special needs, ensuring their inclusion and participation in classroom activities
• Help create a positive and nurturing learning environment for all students
• Assist with classroom management, including maintaining order and discipline
• Supervise students during recess, lunchtime, and other non-instructional periods
• Assist with the preparation and organization of instructional materials
• Provide individualized attention and support to students as needed
• Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to assess student progress and development

Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices
• Familiarity with special education strategies and techniques
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
• First aid certification is preferred but not required
