To provide comprehensive services and referrals to children and families with respect and dignity. Head Start is seeking employees to join a fun work atmosphere in our family oriented program!! Full-time & Part-time, Para-Professionals needed for the Hastings Head Start for the 26-27 school year. Wage is $15.13 per hour with a $1.00 pay differential for those with an A.A. in ECE. Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED. Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education Preferred. Benefits include paid time off and on going training opportunities available. The Para-Professional is responsible for working in a team environment to assist the Teacher and classroom employees in providing support for educational activities, meals, classroom management, and other classroom activities in accordance with the Head Start Performance Standards.- Utilize developmentally appropriate classroom activities for children.
- Encourage parents to participate in the program in a variety of ways that fit their skills and time. Collect in-kind related to this participation.
- Enter GOLD observations resulting in a minimum of one anecdote per child per item each period.
- Assist families in a variety of ways including but not limited to; connecting with resources, making referrals, sharing information about their child's day, translating documents and interpreting.
