Job Description
Infant Assistant Teacher Beginnings Early Learning Alliance Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. This role involves supporting the development and care of infants in a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with young children, have reliability and be committed to fostering a positive learning atmosphere for our youngest learners. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities and lesson plans tailored for infants. Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and comforting infants as needed. Support infants' physical development through supervised tummy time, crawling, and other motor activities. Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Observe and document developmental milestones and behavior patterns to inform teaching strategies. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and needs. Participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, classroom management, and caregiving best practices. Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, and sleep schedules. Familiarity with childhood development principles and behavior management techniques. CPR training is preferred, can provide. Must pass background check and fingerprinting. Ability to work effectively with individuals with disabilities or special needs is desirable. Strong classroom management skills to create a nurturing and organized environment. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with parents. Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial. Passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering a safe, inclusive space for infants to thrive.
