Working closely with the head teacher, this position supports daily routines, play-based learning, and faith-filled relationships that nurture children's growth in body, mind, and spirit. Whether caring for infants, guiding toddlers, or supporting preschoolers and pre-K learners, the assistant teacher helps create a safe and joyful environment where every child is known, loved, and encouraged to explore the world around them through wonder and faith. DUTIES Classroom Support & Childcare Provide consistent, nurturing care that supports children's developmental, emotional, and spiritual needs. Assist with daily routines including meals, rest, diapering/pottying, transitions, and play. Help implement age-appropriate, play-based lessons and activities that promote early learning, curiosity, and creativity. Maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom that encourages exploration and joy. Model patience, empathy, and Christ-like kindness in all interactions. Collaboration & Teamwork Partner with the head teacher to reinforce classroom structure, expectations, and routines. Support classroom management and help prepare materials for lessons and activities. Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center-wide events. Maintain open communication with team members to ensure every child feels supported and valued. Family Communication Help foster positive relationships with families built on respect, warmth, and trust. Assist in documenting children's daily routines and experiences through the Procare app. Create a welcoming environment where families feel seen, supported, and connected to their child's day. Faith Integration Reflect the love of Christ through kindness, patience, and gentle guidance. Participate in age-appropriate spiritual activities such as songs, stories, or prayer time. Help children experience God's love through caring relationships and joyful classroom moments.
