Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant educational community in fostering a positive learning environment for our students. The ideal canidate for this job will be passionate for working with children and have a strong understanding of child development. This role involves working with other assistant teachers to support the lead teacher in classroom activities, providing care, and ensuring the well-being of ALL students. At Good Life Montessori we have two classrooms (Primary 1: 18 months-3 years) (Primary 2: 3-6 years) Montessori experience is preferred but not required. Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher through classroom management Support students in their independence, learning, and needs by providing one on one or small group assistance Supervise children in the classroom and on the playground, ensuring both environments are safe and engaging. Help manage classroom behavior and promote positive interactions among students Maintain a clean and orderly classroom environment and assist with classroom organization Communicate effectively with teachers regarding student progress and needs Participate in certified trainings and professional development opportunities Understand and implement the Montessori method of education Qualifications Experience working with children Knowledge of child development and practices Familiarity with CPR and First Aid Strong interpersonal skills to interact with staff, students, and parents Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment Patience, empathy, and genuine interest in supporting children's learning experiences Previous experience in a classroom setting is advantageous but not required
