Seasonal Assistant Teacher

Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Seasonal Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant educational team! Duties Assist lead teachers in planning and executing engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment for all children. Help facilitate activities tailored to various developmental stages, including toddler care, preschool routines, and early childhood education strategies such as Montessori methods. Provide attentive childcare by supervising children during playtime, snack time, outdoor activities, and rest periods. Collaborate with team members to develop individualized plans for children with special needs or disabilities, including those with autism. Maintain clear communication with parents and guardians regarding daily activities and children's progress. Ensure classroom cleanliness and organization, adhering to health and safety standards at all times. Requirements Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or private school settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices such as Montessori or preschool curricula. Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Ability to assist in lesson planning and adapt activities for diverse learning needs. Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus. Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining flexibility during busy seasonal periods. Certification or training in childcare, early childhood education, or special education is advantageous but not mandatory.
