Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care across various settings, including hospitals, long-term care facilities, assisted living communities, and home care environments. Your energy and enthusiasm will help improve the quality of life for our diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics, including individuals with complex medical needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, and behavioral health conditions. Duties Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature; accurately document findings in electronic health records (EHR) systems Support medication administration under supervision and ensure proper medication documentation following HIPAA guidelines Provide specialized care for patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavioral health strategies Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts, catheter care tools, and phlebotomy supplies with precision and aseptic technique Assist in patient transfers using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs while ensuring safety protocols are followed Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control standards and practicing proper aseptic techniques during procedures such as wound care or catheter management Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II trauma centers, supporting complex patient needs in emergency medicine or ICU environments Support patients across various settings including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, home & community care programs, and sub-acute facilities Document all patient interactions thoroughly in medical records systems such as Cerner or eClinicalWorks to ensure continuity of care Skills Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental delays, or behavioral health challenges Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks or similar platforms for accurate documentation Experience in specialized areas such as ICU, emergency medicine, hospice care, or post-acute settings is highly desirable Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification and demonstrate proficiency in vital signs measurement and patient service skills Skilled in using assistive devices like Hoyer lifts and managing complex patient needs safely and effectively Excellent communication skills to collaborate with healthcare teams and provide compassionate patient support Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and sensitive information Capable of working efficiently in fast-paced environments such as hospitals or urgent care clinics while maintaining attention to detail Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality patient-centered care.
