In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for toddlers to explore, learn, and grow. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster positive developmental experiences for young children, ensuring they feel valued and supported every day. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the foundational growth of our youngest learners while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education. Duties Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of toddlers Supervise children closely during playtime, meals, naps, and outdoor activities to ensure safety and well-being Support children with daily routines such as diapering, toileting, handwashing, and feeding while maintaining a clean and hygienic environment Engage children in educational games, storytelling, music, and arts & crafts to stimulate creativity and learning Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and any concerns Follow mandated reporting laws by observing and reporting any signs of developmental delays or behavioral issues Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety standards in accordance with licensing regulations Skills Experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings preferred but not required Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices Ability to provide child supervision with patience, attentiveness, and enthusiasm Familiarity with first aid procedures including pediatric first aid and CPR certification preferred Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and teamwork with staff Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus Understanding of behavior management techniques suitable for toddlers Ability to follow classroom routines and implement child development instruction effectively Join us in making a positive impact on children's lives!
