r42621-03216 Job Description Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) 1:1 Kindergarten Support | Andover, NH 03216 ProCare Therapy is seeking a confident, compassionate, and independent Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Andover, New Hampshire. This position involves providing dedicated 1:1 support to a kindergarten student within a general education classroom. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, supporting communication development, and helping the student participate as fully as possible in the general classroom environment.

ASAP Student Profile Kindergarten student Diagnosed with autism Currently nonverbal Non-aggressive In the process of acquiring an AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) device Requires consistent support to maximize participation and success within the general education classroom

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day Help the student participate meaningfully in the general education classroom Support communication and language development, including use of the student's AAC device as it becomes available Encourage independence and participation in classroom routines and activities Implement behavioral and educational strategies established by the student's care team Support transitions, classroom engagement, and daily routines Collect and document relevant student data as directed by the school team Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, BCBA, and related service providers Maintain a positive, patient, and encouraging learning environment Ideal Candidate The school is looking for an RBT who is: Confident and independent Patient, compassionate, and dependable Comfortable working 1:1 with a young student Able to take initiative while following the student's established support plan Comfortable supporting a student with autism in an inclusive/general education setting Interested in helping a student build communication, independence, and classroom participation A strong communicator and collaborative team member

Qualifications:

Active RBT certification preferred/required based on school requirements Previous experience working with students with autism preferred Experience with AAC or alternative communication methods is a plus Elementary school experience preferred Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the school team
