CTE Educational Aide (Multiple Programs)

Work Agreement Period:

Academic Year position 180 days, 7 hours/day (plus 30 hours of training time), with flexible start time as evening hours will be required.

Career Services Manager, Assistant Director of CTE Qualifications:

High school diploma; strong communication skills; high degree of confidentiality; strong personal presence; effective team skills; strong interpersonal skills and good judgment to manage difficult student behavior; ability to follow directions and carry out assigned tasks independently and in an organized manner; and strong oral and written communication skills to consult with administration, teachers, students, and parents.

Duties:

The aide assigned to CTE classrooms will work with a variety of students and can expect to perform most of the following duties: Assist the teacher in providing a smooth day-to-day operation in the program, including monitoring student performance. Assist in the collection and return of assignments to the classroom teacher. Assist in events that are part of the program, both within and outside of the school day. Work closely and communicate effectively with the program teachers. Attend and participate in staff development and training sessions. Assist students as needed - either one-on-one or in small groups. Perform other comparable duties as assigned by the teacher or Assistant Director of CTE. Be flexible and able to adjust the daily schedule as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to regularly walk between buildings, stand up to 90 minutes, and lift up to 25 pounds.
