9687468-03038 Job Description Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting a high school senior with academic, social, and emotional needs within a dynamic educational setting. This contract role is based at a high school with daily travel to Dover or an internship location. Your primary focus will be to provide standby emotional reassurance, assist with academic coursework, and serve as a steady presence during transit and internship experiences. The student, a mild-mannered and sweet high school senior, occasionally may be resistant to support, requiring a gentle, patient, and adaptable approach. Immediate availability is essential, as district-provided Vector training must be completed ahead of assignment start.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a supportive role within a school Ability to provide consistent emotional support and maintain student engagement Reliable, punctual, and adept at managing transitions between locations Strong communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable assisting with high school-level coursework, especially History Flexibility to shift between roles (transit, academic, internship support) based on student needs Professionalism and discretion in a school setting

Key Responsibilities:

Check in at the high school each morning (MondayThursday) and accompany the student via district bus to Impact Academy in Dover Provide standby support during the school day; return in the afternoon to help the student complete coursework (primarily History) On Fridays, accompany the student to a car detailing internship, offering emotional support during the 5-hour shift Perform flexible support tasks at the high school as needed when not with the student Maintain detailed and compassionate documentation of daily activities and student progress This position offers 3537 hours per week in a uniquely engaging and supportive environment.
