9687468-03848 Job Description An exciting, contract opportunity is open for a compassionate and skilled paraprofessional to support a high school senior in a dynamic educational setting. This position involves working closely with a student who benefits from gentle encouragement and standby emotional support. The schedule blends academic assistance, transit companionship, and internship mentoring, ensuring each day brings meaningful, varied interactions.

Responsibilities:

Provide consistent emotional and academic support to a high school senior, offering encouragement while respecting her independence. Accompany the student from the high school base to Impact Academy in Dover via district bus (one hour each way, MondayThursday), ensuring reliable transit support. Assist the student with academic tasks, mainly History, upon returning to the high school each afternoon. On Fridays, accompany the student to her car detailing internship for approximately five hours, ready to provide emotional support as needed. Remain flexibleif your direct support isnt needed during the internship, provide assistance on-campus with other academic or flex tasks. Arrive on time to utilize complimentary district bus transportation. Complete district-provided Vector training upon immediate start.

Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional or in a similar supportive educational role is highly desirable. Strong ability to build rapport with high school-aged students, particularly those who may be occasionally resistant to support. Reliability, punctuality, and excellent interpersonal skills. Willingness to travel daily between locations. Ability to submit a strong resume and candidate profile as required.
