A Teacher Assistant assists classroom teachers by providing extra individual attention and instruction to students. Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Support children's social, emotional, physical, language, and cognitive development. Foster curiosity and a love of learning through play and nature-based experiences. Build positive, respectful relationships with children, families, and fellow educators. Work collaboratively as part of a teaching team to maintain a consistent, supportive classroom environment. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom while following all New Hampshire Licensing Requirements and center policies. Observe and document children's growth and development.
