Job Description

Looking for a meaningful contract opportunity working closely with students in an educational setting? Dedicated paraprofessionals are needed for two positions supporting students at both the middle and high school levels. Youll work full-time Monday through Friday, following the academic calendar. One position offers the chance to provide 1:1 support for an 8th grade student who is autistic and nonverbal, assisting throughout their school day. The other position involves aiding a small group of high school students with IEPs, providing guidance and encouragement as they participate in their classes. Both roles require flexibility, compassion, and a willingness to support students with their academic, personal care, and toileting needs.
Position Details:
Contract roles operating from late August to mid-June, full-time weekdays
Middle School:
1:1 with a nonverbal student on the autism spectrum (8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, 32.5 hours per week)
High School:
Supporting a small IEP caseload in general education (8:40 AM to 3:33 PM, 32.5 hours per week)
Required:
Comfort with providing personal care, toileting, and hands-on academic support
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a Paraprofessional or Personal Care Assistant (PCA) in a school setting Experience working with students with autism, nonverbal communication, or IEPs Strong communication skills, patience, and a supportive approach Ability to follow teacher guidelines and collaborate with the educational team Flexibility and accountability Working in this environment enables you to build meaningful relationships, grow your skills, and contribute to a positive and supportive classroom experience.
