He likes to go to an art class, take walks in local parks, go to the library, the gym, and food shopping. He also likes to volunteer at local centers. You will provide personalized care, assist with daily living activities, and foster a safe, engaging environment that promotes independence and well-being. Your energetic approach and strong communication skills will help empower him to achieve his goals while ensuring his safety and comfort. This position is paid through Easter Seals and offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in his life through direct support and community engagement. Responsibilities Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, dressing, feeding, and mobility. Support behavioral health needs by implementing behavior management strategies tailored to each individual. Use effective communication techniques, to facilitate client interaction and understanding. Provide personal transportation assistance using standard passenger cars for appointments, community outings, or medical visits. Monitor client progress and document observations related to behavior, health status, and development milestones. Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop individualized care plans that promote independence and social integration. Experience Prior experience working with individuals with autism, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities is highly preferred. Familiarity with behavioral health concepts and behavior management techniques to promote positive behaviors. Home & community care experience demonstrating the ability to provide compassionate caregiving in various settings. Skills in communication, including client communication and social services knowledge to foster trust and rapport. Certification in First Aid and CPR is required. You will have 6 months to complete the requirements. Free training is provided. Valid driver's license with experience operating standard passenger cars for personal transportation assistance is necessary.
