Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team at The Goddard School of Cherry Hill as an Assistant Teacher, working from 1 PM to 6 PM! In this rewarding role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for young children. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a love of learning while ensuring each child's individual needs are met. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives through hands-on care, education, and positive guidance. Responsibilities Assist lead teachers in implementing curriculum development and lesson plans tailored to early childhood developmental stages Support classroom management and behavior management strategies to promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development Provide attentive toddler care and support children with special education needs or those requiring early intervention services Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress, daily activities, and any concerns in accordance with child welfare standards Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety protocols following mandated reporting laws and health guidelines Contribute to classroom experience by supporting standardized testing preparations and documenting child development progress Skills Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood settings Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction and classroom management techniques Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education Ability to implement behavior management strategies effectively and compassionately Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies First aid and CPR certification preferred to ensure safety during all activities Experience teaching preschool or toddler care is highly desirable; familiarity with special education or early intervention programs is a plus Demonstrated ability to work with students of diverse backgrounds and needs while fostering an inclusive environment Join us in shaping the future by supporting young learners during their most formative years!
