Job Description

Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional in an educational setting near Edison, NJ. Help educators create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment, providing personalized assistance and encouragement to students as they learn and grow. Bring your passion for student success and your collaborative spirit to a highly supportive school community. As a paraprofessional, you'll work closely alongside teachers and specialists to implement lesson plans, supervise group activities, and support learners with diverse abilities.
Desired Qualifications & Skills:
Previous experience as a classroom or school paraprofessional, or similar student support role Ability to build rapport with children and adolescents from various backgrounds Familiarity with instructional strategies and positive behavior supports Strong communication and teamwork capabilities Flexibility to adapt to different classroom needs and situations High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional coursework or certification)
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Assisting instructional staff with implementing lesson activities and classroom routines Supporting individual students or small groups to reinforce learning objectives Supervising students in varied settings, including classroom, lunchroom, or playground Helping maintain a safe, organized, and respectful learning environment Addressing students' academic, behavioral, and social needs under teacher guidance Documenting observations and student progress as required As a valued paraprofessional, you'll find fulfillment in knowing your support is making a real difference in the lives of students and the classroom community.
