Horizon Staffing Resources has an amazing opportunity for you! Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking ABA paraprofessionals for the upcoming 2026-2027 School Year in Bergen County, NJ. The ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) paraprofessionals will work closely with students on the autism spectrum and with other related behavioral needs. The ABA paraprofessionals will build rapport with their student(s), to learn behaviors and modify them in a constructive way. The ideal candidates will have previous background working in an ABA setting.
Hours/Schedule:
  • School year: hours dependent on school/classroom setting
Responsibilities:
  • One-on-one instruction: Implementing lessons and behavior intervention plans created by a behavior consultant
  • Data collection: Recording session progress and other data on data sheets
Collaboration:
Working with families to teach skills that support their child's progress
    Documentation:
    Maintaining records of behavior analysis data and graphing
      Communication:
      Working with teachers and other staff to create an effective learning environment
      • Participating in clinical team meetings and training
      • Assisting with classroom activities and setup
      • Supervising students during emergencies, assemblies, and field trips
      • Helping students with personal care needs
      Requirements:
      • Previous experience in an ABA setting required
      • CPI and restraint training preferred
      • Must have a High School Diploma, Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
      • Excellent written and communication skills
      • Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the New Jersey Board of Education #HHS23
