About This Role Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Aftercare Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the growth and development of children. This role is essential in helping to manage classroom behavior, maintaining a safe and nurturing environment, implement the aftercare routines and schedule for the children within their care, and most importantly be a team player ! Experienced in working in a licensed child care center. Part Time hours available of 1:00 - 6:00 OR 2:30 - 6:00. Join our team as an Aftercare Assistant Teacher where you can make a meaningful impact on young learners' lives! What You'll Do Responsibilities Assist the lead teacher with implementing a positive and safe environment Support childhood development by encouraging students' social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning environment for all students. Provide assistance with math concepts through hands-on activities and guided practice. Supervise students during classroom activities, eating times and outside experiences to ensure safety and engagement. Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning. Requirements Requirements Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred. Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in education. Experience in behavior management techniques to support diverse learning needs. Strong skills in lesson planning, literacy education, childcare, special education, and math instruction. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members. A genuine passion for working with children and contributing positively to their educational experience.
