(PT) Instructor, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant

This is a part time position requiring up to 26 hours per week. Reports to the Assistant Director of Workforce Development Operations; provides instruction for Certified Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomy programs as directed and uses effective teaching methods; responsible for monitoring and submitting daily sign-in sheets and other required forms in support of the program and documenting the progress of the students; performs related duties as assigned. Must hold a current Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certification (CCMA) as well as a Phlebotomy (CPT). Minimum of three years of experience working in the field as a CCMA and have hands-on experience in the following areas for at least 3 years or more: Vitals, EKGs, Injections (Intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal), Blood Specimen Collection (urine and other lab samples), Infection Control, and Aseptic Technique. In addition to clinical skills, must have a broad command of Medical Terminology, Anatomy, and Physiology, and the ability to obtain patient histories. Possess working knowledge of front desk duties. Strong computer skills using Word, Excel, and EMR. Must be available to teach days, evenings, and weekends at any Atlantic Cape location.
