Infants Early Childhood Education Full Job Description About The Role:
For nearly 30 years, Little Tykes has been a trusted cornerstone of early childhood education in Lodi, NJ — partnering with local school districts and earning a reputation for genuine excellence in early childhood education and care. We're looking for a warm, dependable Teacher Assistant to join our Infants, Toddlers & Twos programs. Whether you're starting your career in early childhood education or looking to grow it, this role puts you at the center of meaningful, joyful, day-to-day learning. What you'll do: Lead enriching activities: Games, arts & crafts, story time, and outdoor play that spark curiosity and creativity.
Nurture whole-child growth:
Support social and emotional development through positive reinforcement and gentle guidance. Maintain a safe, clean environment: Hands-on childcare including diaper changes, feeding, and keeping the classroom welcoming.
Grow as an educator:
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, CDA certification program, and ongoing professional development and state-mandated trainings What we're looking for: 1-2+ years of experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood setting (preferred) High school diploma or equivalent; coursework or a degree in early childhood education is a plus Familiarity with Creative Curriculum, Tadpoles, or SmartTeach is a bonus — but not required Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children and a solid understanding of child development Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit — you'll work closely with staff and families A positive, patient attitude and a real love for what you do Ability to pass required background checks and provide professional references Ready to make a real difference in the lives of children?
