Job Description

Adath Emanu-El ECC is a Jewish Early Childhood Center that is part of a vibrant Reform Jewish community in Mount Laurel, NJ. Our ECC is seeking an engaging and energetic assistant teacher for our expanding toddler and 2 year old program beginning January 5, 2026. This position has the opportunity to become full time as our classrooms continue to grow.
Job Qualifications:
Early childhood care experience preferred Excellent communication skills Knowledge of early childhood theory and best practice Positive attitude and a love of all children Love and excitement for the field of education Dependability Job Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to): Assisting the head teacher in the classroom/leading the classroom Caring and fostering the social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development of all students Facilitating cooperative and imaginative play Ensuring the safety, wellbeing and health of all children in the ECC Performing other duties as assigned by the ECC Director or the head teacher Attending school for the duration of contractual hours Attending all staff meetings: Once monthly (unless otherwise specified by the Director) Attending extracurricular ECC events (frequency to be determined by the Director) Communicating regularly with staff and families regarding information and updates about school and curriculum changes Be sure to include: Cover Letter Resume A list of at least 3 professional references
