As the first Rutgers-Newark special program established to identify talent beyond traditional measures and then recruit, retain, and graduate talented young people from the greater Newark area, AFC remains a jewel in the crown of Rutgers- Newark, serving nearly 1500 undergraduate students annually. Posting Summary Rutgers University - Newark (RU-N), an urban public research university and anchor institution, located in Newark, New Jersey, a city of promise is seeking an English Teaching Assistant (EOF Summer Program 2026). This position provides academic and administrative support to the assigned faculty member and program activities. Attend subject area classes and meetings as required, including two pre-meetings. Facilitate English workshop and foundation sessions. Provide tutoring as necessary. Supervise lunch sessions as assigned. Attend Faculty/Staff Orientation on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Attend the tutor training session on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. May attend and participate in the Leadership Activity on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Attend the summer closing ceremony on Wednesday, July 29, 2026. FLSA Nonexempt Salary Details $15.92 to $22 per hour Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position.
