Job Description
An Allied Health Instructor position is available courtesy of Adecco Healthcare and Life Sciences. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering classroom and hands-on instruction in Home Health Aide (CHHA), Phlebotomy, EKG, and Patient Care Technician (PCT) programs. This role prepares students with the clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional behaviors required for entry-level healthcare positions. The instructor will support student success through effective teaching, curriculum delivery, evaluation, and mentorship, while also contributing to the development of instructional materials and assessments.

- Hourly pay range:
- $30.00-$38.00/hr. (based on experience)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- + Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of allied health disciplines, including home health care, phlebotomy, EKG, and patient care + Interpret and apply healthcare procedures, standards, and best practices + Integrate subject matter with related healthcare fields + Stay current with industry advancements through continuing education, certifications, and professional development + Incorporate technology and modern instructional tools to enhance the learning experience + Maintain knowledge of emerging healthcare products, techniques, and methodologies •Teaching Performance•+ Deliver classroom instruction and hands-on clinical training + Teach assigned course load in alignment with program objectives + Create and maintain an organized, safe, and engaging learning environment + Develop lesson plans and instructional strategies that support measurable student outcomes + Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning styles and student needs + Utilize instructional technologies and digital learning tools when appropriate + Promote development of communication, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning skills + Ensure safe use of equipment and adherence to safety protocols + Assist in development and selection of instructional materials + Incorporate core competencies into curriculum design + Develop, update, and distribute course syllabi in a timely manner + Maintain inventory of instructional equipment and supplies + Ensure a clean, sanitized, and safe training environment •Evaluation of Student Learning•+ Establish clear and measurable student learning outcomes + Develop fair and consistent evaluation methods + Assess student performance and provide timely, constructive feedback + Maintain accurate academic and attendance records + Submit grades and reports in accordance with program deadlines + Demonstrate sensitivity to diverse student backgrounds and needs •Policies and Procedures•+ Conduct classes at assigned locations + Teach credit and/or non-credit courses as required + Maintain regular office hours for student support and advising + Serve as a faculty advisor when assigned + Prepare and submit syllabi and course materials in accordance with program guidelines + Maintain confidentiality of student information + Provide coverage for other instructors when needed + Ensure proper use and care of facilities, equipment, and materials + Track and report attendance in compliance with policies •Program Participation•+ Participate in committees, meetings, and institutional events + Respond promptly to administrative requests + Collaborate with faculty and staff to support program goals + Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement + Participate in student recruitment, retention, and graduation activities + Demonstrate professionalism and strong interpersonal communication skills •
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- + Certified Allied Health Instructor (preferred or required per program standards) + Graduate of an accredited program in an allied health discipline + Current professional certification in area(s) of instruction from a nationally recognized organization
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- + Minimum of two (2) years of teaching experience in a healthcare-related field within the past five (5) years
TRAINING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- + Proficiency in basic computer applications and instructional technology + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to meet ongoing training requirements established by NCC, state, or industry regulations + Attendance at all required meetings and training sessions
