Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students' educational journeys as an experienced paraprofessional. Ideal candidates will bring:
Experience working in an educational setting, particularly as a paraprofessional Ability to assist teachers and support individual students or small groups with instructional activities Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills Adaptability and a collaborative approach with educators and support staff High school diploma or equivalent (additional training or certification as a paraprofessional is a plus) Commitment to maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere Key responsibilities include: Providing direct support to students under the direction of teachers and specialists Assisting with classroom management and reinforcing learning concepts Helping students participate in classroom activities and stay on track academically Supporting students with special needs or Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) as required Assisting in the preparation and organization of classroom materials Facilitating social and behavioral development, encouraging positive interactions among students This contract position in Plainfield, NJ offers the chance to build supportive relationships with students and staff, expand your professional experience, and play an essential role in the school community.
