Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for children, particularly in a Montessori or preschool setting. This role is essential in fostering childhood development and ensuring that each child receives the attention and care they need to thrive. Duties Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of children. Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote a positive learning environment. Support children with special education needs and those working with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity in all classroom activities. Supervise children during classroom activities and outdoor play, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities related to childhood education and Montessori methods. Document children's progress and assist in preparing reports for parents or guardians. Requirements Experience or education in early childhood development, special education, or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with Montessori principles is a plus but not mandatory. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with young children and their families. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team within a private school or preschool setting. Experience with toddler care or working with children with disabilities is highly desirable. A passion for educating young minds and fostering a love for learning.
