The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and has a strong understanding of child development, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. This individual will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive. Year-round employment - Enjoy consistent, full-time employment throughout the year. During the summer, you'll work in our engaging Summer Program, allowing you to maintain your income without a seasonal layoff. Duties Support the Lead Teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate classroom activities during the Preschool day. Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Assist with classroom management, daily routines, and transitions. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom.

Wraparound/After-School Program:

3:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. (Additional compensation of $18.00 per hour for all wraparound/summer hours worked.) Requirements Bilingual in English and Spanish (required). High school diploma or equivalent required. Preschool CDA required. Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed child care or preschool setting. Experience working with preschool-aged children. Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills. Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues. High energy, a positive attitude, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment. Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain upon hire). Must successfully pass all required background checks and meet New Jersey licensing and Abbott Preschool Program requirements. Ability to perform the physical demands of the position, including frequent walking, standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, lifting classroom materials and children when necessary, using hands and fingers to handle classroom materials, and communicating effectively with children, families, and staff.
