AM Afternoon Shift:
4:00 PM - 6:00 PM Candidates may apply for one or both shifts. Position Summary The Goddard School is seeking a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Before & After School Teacher to supervise and engage children during our before and after care program. The ideal candidate will create a safe, positive, and nurturing environment while facilitating age-appropriate activities, supervising play, and supporting children's social and emotional development. Essential Responsibilities Provide active supervision of children at all times to ensure safety and well-being. Welcome children into the program and assist with morning arrival routines. Supervise indoor and outdoor play activities. Lead age-appropriate games, crafts, and enrichment activities. Foster positive relationships with children, families, and staff. Serve afternoon snacks in accordance with school policies and health regulations. Monitor children's behavior and encourage respectful interactions. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment. Follow all licensing regulations, health and safety procedures, and school policies. Communicate any concerns or incidents to school administration. Assist with transitions between activities and dismissal procedures. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience working with children preferred. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to actively engage with children and supervise play activities. Must pass all required background checks and meet state licensing requirements. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, and actively supervise children for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
