Full-time, full year pay is $25,000 to $35,000 - based on licensure level, education, and experience. This position is full-time and eligible for the full benefits package. Insurances include medical, dental, vision, prescription drug, life, disability, and specialty insurances for employees and their families. DATA pays 80% of the insurance premiums. For the pension benefit, employees pay 10.7% of all earnings into their retirement account, and DATA also pays 18.15% on all pay earned toward the employee's retirement account! All candidates must have a High School Diploma or equivalent, must be at least 18 years of age, and must meet the NCLB highly qualified requirements: 48 college credit hours OR Pass the Paraprofessional Test ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation: Works with individuals and small groups in the classroom to reinforce material introduced by the teacher. Provides behavior redirection strategies that align with restorative practice techniques and promote learning. Monitors student activities in classrooms, school grounds, hallways, lunchrooms, field trips, etc. Provides immediate and consistent interventions for students as per the IEP. Reinforces the implementation of IEP goals using similar emphasis and techniques as classroom teacher. Shortens the time a student is out of the classroom with a plan for positive choices that enable learning to occur. Helps students focus on positive behavior and educational choices. Participates in teacher-parent conferences and meetings as requested by classroom teacher. Inputs case notes/data records in the district Student Information System. Acts as a role model in fostering students' language skills and positive behavior. Maintains classroom records, prepares reports as requested by the classroom teacher or principal, scores tests, processes books, manages supplies and classroom equipment as needed. Provides observation and consultation, as needed, for teachers to reduce behavior concerns in the classroom. Other duties as assigned. PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE

The minimum requirements for this job are as follows: Valid State Department of Education Educational Assistant licensure. Additional Substitute licensure is a plus. WORKING ENVIRONMENT
