To provide a behavior redirection/intervention program at school site.

Incumbent must achieve the following outcomes with or without reasonable accommodation: Be responsible for supervision of the Student Wellness room and students visiting the wellness room without the presence of a teacher. Per the EA negotiated agreement, may submit for the differential for being with students without a teacher. This position may not provide substitute services for teachers. Be responsible for receiving and/or escorting the student to the school counselor, if needed. Assist students in determining the best amenity for de-stressing. Depending on the features in the room these amenities may include the following student self-guided wellness activities: Journaling, mindfulness and wellness themed books, coloring and drawing supplies, origami, puzzles, etc. Refer any student who requires counseling or has ongoing issues to the school counselor Refer any student who requires health services to the school health office Work to complete the de-stress Wellness Room visit within 15 - 20 minutes Be supportive, not punitive Keeps accurate records and utilizes district logs for all students served Submit weekly electronic logs to the district office on time Students may not be sent to the Student Wellness Room for discipline or behavior infractions as identified in the handbook. If a student is sent to the Student Wellness Room for discipline or behavior infractions, the Student Wellness Room Supervisor will immediately send the student back to class or to the appropriate school administrator Serve the needs of the Student Wellness Room for the entire duty day. Attends required trainings annually, as determined by the Counseling Department.
Including but not limited to:
All Student Wellness Supervisors must attend Non-violent Crisis Intervention training New Student Wellness Supervisors must attend an orientation training.

Experience with educational equipment Education Assistant Experience Behavior Management Experience Effective communication skills, both verbal and written Flexibility, organization, decision-making and problem solving skills Interpersonal skills with diverse populations in-person and on the telephone Ability to meet deadlines and work on multiple projects
REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM
REQUIRED EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
High School Diploma or GED. Licensure based on State Department of Education Regulation No. 90-5 Must be at least 18 years old
