Category Schools - Paraprofessional Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the lives of students by supporting learners and educators as a Paraprofessional. This contract opportunity near Bosque Farms, NM, will allow you to play a vital role in delivering an inclusive education and fostering a supportive environment for all students.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Previous work or volunteer experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or in a related student support position Familiarity with special education practices and the ability to adapt to various student learning needs Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach with teachers and other staff members Patience, empathy, and a commitment to helping students succeed Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism within an educational setting High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training in education or child development is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct support to students under the direction of certified teachers or special education staff Assist with classroom management, instructional activities, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) as needed Help prepare materials, supervise students during activities, and support students with personal or behavioral needs Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and collaborate with specialists to meet the needs of all students Foster a safe, positive, and respectful classroom environment
