Job Description

New Mexico Tech Invites Applications for Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics
Position Description:
New Mexico Tech (NMT) invites applications for a full-time Assistant Teaching Professor of Mathematics to begin on August 10, 2026. This is a full-time, non tenure- track teaching faculty position. Experience in teaching college mathematics is required. Excellent communication skills are required. A Master's in Mathematics is required. A PhD in Mathematics is preferred. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate mathematics courses from algebra through calculus. Courses will be taught in-person on the NMT campus. They will also coordinate courses and supervise graduate student teaching assistants. The teaching load is 12 credit hours per semester. Additional duties include service to the department, institution, and/or profession.
