Qualifications:

Paraprofessional requirements as per NCLB; Mínimum high school diploma or equivalent; Correct English usage and grammar; Knowledge of educational, behavioral and emotional principles and techniques; Ability to relate to adults and children of all ages, particularly those with a disabling condition; Current CPR certification; First Aid training; Ability to lift 50 pounds; Ability to assist with toileting needs.

Job Description:

Assist Special Ed Teachers/students in classroom

General Information:

Student is to receive a total of 48 ESY hours during the month of June – Teacher to set the schedule with guardian and parapro to be present during these 48 hours.

Location:

Tonopah Elementary School Preference will be given to those applicants who are currently employed as special education paraprofessionals by Nye County School District. Preference given to those applicants who are CPI Trained.
