Job Description

The Assistant Preschool Teacher will help lead the afternoon aftercare program for children age 2. This role involves supervising play, guiding group activities, preparing snacks, and ensuring a safe and engaging end-of-day experience. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education who enjoys working in a collaborative, child-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and engage children during indoor and outdoor play Help implement fun, age-appropriate activities Maintain a warm and respectful atmosphere in the classroom Ensure safety and well-being of all children at all times Assist with cleanup and organization of materials Communicate effectively with lead teachers, staff, and families
Schedule:
Monday - Friday, approximately 9 :30 PM to 5:30 PM .
Qualifications:
Experience working with young children in a group setting (preschool or early childhood experience preferred) Enthusiastic, patient, and dependable Able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Must meet any applicable state licensing requirements Bonus if you have: Early Childhood Education (ECE) units or coursework Bilingual skills Previous experience in an aftercare or extended day program
