5 Hours/Day The Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking a caring, dependable, and student-focused Teaching Assistant to provide support for students at Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School. The successful candidate will work closely with classroom teachers and other support staff to help meet the individual academic, behavioral, social, and physical needs of the assigned student while fostering independence and promoting a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include: Assist students with classroom activities, organization, and instructional tasks. Support the implementation of instructional, behavioral, and accommodation plans as directed. Encourage positive social interactions and student independence. Monitor students' progress and communicate effectively with teachers, related service providers, and administrators. Assist with supervision during transitions, lunch, and other school activities as needed. Perform other duties as assigned by the Building Principal.
Qualifications:
New York State Teaching Assistant certification or the ability to obtain certification. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Patience, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting student success. Experience working with students with diverse learning needs is preferred.
