Special Education Paraprofessional - Full-Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Special Education Paraprofessional to support students with autism, developmental disabilities, and diverse learning needs. The paraprofessional will work closely with the classroom teacher and multidisciplinary team to provide academic, behavioral, social, and daily-living support.

Responsibilities

Support students with classroom instruction, assignments, and activities.

Provide one-on-one and small-group assistance under teacher direction.

Reinforce positive behaviors and implement behavior-support strategies.

Assist with IEP-related goals and monitor student progress.

Support students with communication, social, and daily-living skills as needed.

Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school professionals.

Maintain a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Previous experience working with students with disabilities preferred.

Strong communication, patience, and teamwork skills.

Ability to follow teacher direction and work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to provide physical assistance to students when required.
