Job Description:
Horizon Staffing Solutions is currently seeking dedicated and compassionate paraprofessionals to work in school districts throughout Suffolk County, NY. In this role, you will provide one-on-one support to students under the supervision of a certified teacher, helping them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. We are hiring for both part-time and full-time positions for the 2025/2026 school year. Assignments may include in-school support and/or assisting students during transportation to and from school.

Schedule:
Monday -
Friday Hours:
8:10 AM - 2:50 PM (Times vary based on placement)
Responsibilities:
Provide daily care and support for a student with emotional, cognitive, or physical disabilities, autism, or other special needs Reinforce positive behavior using established behavior support strategies Support students in small group Help students transition between activities throughout the day Assist with areas such as recreation, motor skills, vocational tasks, socialization, and communication Collect and document data on student behavior and progress Provide language support for bilingual students when needed
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children (required) High school diploma or equivalent (required) Strong organizational and writing skills Patient, reliable, and able to work as part of a team
