Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Aide/Custodian to join our team for July & August In this vital role, you will support classroom teachers by preparing the children's lunches, cleaning the classrooms/bathrooms and surrounding areas as well as filling in with the children as needed. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children, staff, and families. In charge of the Food distribution to all classrooms. Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, and dusting to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Ensure all restrooms are stocked and sanitized regularly. Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify maintenance needs or safety hazards. Assist with setting up spaces for events or activities as required. Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order. Requirements Proven experience in custodial or facilities maintenance roles is preferred. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety. Ability to work independently. Good communication skills and a friendly demeanor when interacting with staff and families. NY Food Handlers Certification- or willing to get certified Qualifications Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, private school settings or similar environments is preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and students Join us as a Teacher Aide to inspire young minds and support their journey of discovery!
