Job Description

The Hyde Park Central School District is seeking dedicated and compassionate 1:1 OR Teacher Aides to provide support to a students in our district.
Tentative Assignment Locations:

Responsibilities:
Provide direct academic, social, and emotional support to a student under the guidance of the student's teachers and support staff. Assist the student with classroom activities, assignments, and organization. Facilitate positive interactions with peers and adults. Support the student in developing independence and self-advocacy skills. Collaborate with the student's parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive environment. Assist with the implementation of the student's Individualized Education Program (IEP) or 504 plan. Maintain confidentiality and a professional demeanor at all times.
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working with school-aged children, particularly at the elementary school level. An understanding of middle-level adolescent development. Patience, empathy, and a genuine care for all students. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic school setting. Fingerprinted to work in NYS or the ability to get fingerprinted prior to start date. Pay:
$17.50 - $18.50 per hour
