Job Description

HFM BOCES
Special Education has an opening for a Teaching Assistant. This position supports students with diverse learning, physical, behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs in achieving their educational goals. The role involves working closely with special education teachers, classroom teachers, therapists, and families to provide individualized assistance, promote student independence, and help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment. Salary commensurate with experience.
Job Qualifications Certification:
Teaching Assistant Certificate. TEACH Clearance Per Regulations of the Commissioner of Education, to be employed in a position designated by a school district or BOCES as involving direct contact with students, a clearance for employment from the State Education Department is required. Formal job offer/selection is contingent on candidate's ability to obtain a fingerprint security clearance through the TEACH system prior to working.
