The Learning Experience - Astoria Full-Time | Monday-Friday | $16.50-$18.00/hour Shift options may vary based on classroom needs (8:00-5:00, 8:30-5:30, or 9:00-6:00). If so, we'd love to meet you! The Learning Experience of Astoria is looking for energetic, dependable, and caring Assistant Teachers to join our team. Whether you're supporting our infants, toddlers, or preschoolers, you'll play an important role in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive every day. 💛 What You'll Do As an Assistant Teacher, you'll work alongside our Lead Teachers to help create meaningful learning experiences while ensuring every child feels safe, supported, and loved. Every day you'll have the opportunity to: Help implement fun, hands-on activities that encourage learning through play. Support children's social, emotional, language, and cognitive development. Assist with classroom routines, transitions, meals, and daily care. Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow teachers. Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom. Be an important part of a collaborative team that works together to provide exceptional care and education. 🌈 Who We're Looking For The ideal candidate is someone who: Truly enjoys working with young children. Is compassionate, patient, and nurturing. Takes direction well and enjoys learning from experienced educators. Works well as part of a team and values collaboration. Is dependable, organized, and ready to jump in wherever needed. Brings positive energy, enthusiasm, and a great attitude every day. ✅ Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required . Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a licensed daycare or childcare center. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to learn, grow, and support all aspects of the classroom.
