Helps teachers with recordkeeping, preparation for lessons and activities and supervising students. May work with special education students, or work in a school library or computer lab; may be called teacher aide or paraprofessional.

Job Description
To provide the children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment. To meet the children's needs in all areas - physical, emotional, social, and intellectual. To prepare with the head Teacher the weekly lesson plans and to provide the materials needed for the projects. To carryout appropriate and positive discipline as established by the head teacher. To see that the program goals are implemented. To function and help build a supportive team. To maintain a room arrangement that is safe, inviting, and interesting and stimulating. To be sensitive and responsive to parents and to act as a resource person for them. To attend staff meetings. To assist in record keeping for the classroom.
