The Astor Learning Center (ALC) is hiring Teacher Assistants to join our supportive and collaborative team. We're searching for passionate, energetic individuals to join our team as Teacher Assistants (Level 1, 2, or 3) Think of it as your chance to make a real impact, shaping young minds and making a tangible difference every single day. The ALC is a therapeutic special education school for children facing educational, emotional, and behavioral challenges serving children in small class sizes with a maximum number of 80 children.

Create a welcoming classroom where children are eager to return to learn each day. Support teachers in delivering engaging lessons that spark curiosity and ignite learning. Master the art of classroom management, ensuring every student feels safe, supported, and ready to learn. Requirements:
What You Will Need:
• A High School Diploma or GED (and a desire to learn more!) To obtain your NYS TA Certification within 6 months of hire. Experience working with children. Be ready to be a team player with a can-do attitude. Ability to embrace challenges and celebrate successes.
