Job Description
Established in 1926, Family Service League is a social services agency transforming lives and communities through mental health, addiction, housing, and essential human services with more than 60 social service programs in over 20 locations.
Family Service League is seeking a part-time Recreational Aide to work in our Operation Success program at the Riverhead Family Center. The Recreational Aide assists the Youth Development Specialist in providing educational programs to students grades K-4. Responsibilities include plannting activities, leading group discussion, maintaining attendance sheets and coordinating transporation for pick-ups. RESPONSIBILITIESThe Recreational Aide will assist in facilitation of Operation Success.
Setting up classroom.
Individual and group instruction to students K-4.Assist with monthly reports.
Maintain attendance logs.
Plan activities for children.
Lead age-appropriate group discussions.
Communicate with parents as needed. All other duties as assigned.
A minimum of least 2 years experience providing educational services to young children. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Computer proficiency, including Microsoft office, required.
