Job Overview Join our vibrant early childhood education team as a 3-k Assistant Teacher, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a nurturing, engaging, and supportive learning environment for young children. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement curriculum plans, support classroom activities, and foster positive developmental experiences for preschoolers. Your energy and commitment will inspire children to explore, learn, and grow while ensuring their safety and well-being are prioritized every day. Duties Assist lead teachers in developing and executing lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning. Support classroom management by maintaining a positive environment conducive to learning and behavior management. Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, physical, and emotional development, including toddler care and Montessori-inspired methods. Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and maintaining cleanliness. Foster effective communication with children to encourage language development and social skills; collaborate with teachers to adapt strategies for individual needs. Support children with special needs or disabilities by implementing tailored educational support strategies in collaboration with specialists. Assist in documenting children's progress through observations and reports to inform ongoing curriculum development. Requirements Prior experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings; experience with early childhood development is essential. Knowledge of classroom management techniques, behavior management strategies, and curriculum development for preschool-aged children. Familiarity with special education practices, including working with children with autism or disabilities. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members. Technical proficiency in educational tools or software used for lesson planning or student tracking is a plus. Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators and support staff to enhance the overall school experience. Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education principles such as Montessori or toddler care methodologies; private school experience is advantageous.
