Qualifications & Experience:

Proficient in American Sign Language with prior experience as a paraprofessional or sign language interpreter Demonstrated ability to support students in elementary grades Experience implementing positive behavior management plans Strong communication skills and an approachable demeanor Previous work in school or educational settings preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individual support and ASL interpretation during classroom instruction and activities Assist with academic tasks and facilitate communication between the student, teachers, and peers Foster a supportive and positive learning environment Document progress and communicate regularly with instructional staff Contribute to behavior management strategies tailored to the student's needs Uphold school policies and promote a safe classroom environment This is a contract-based opportunity near Troy, NY, spanning the entire academic year until June 25, 2027, offering a rewarding chance to make a difference in a student's educational journey.
