Position Summary:
We are seeking a caring and dependable Infant/Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our passionate team of educators. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in providing high-quality care and early learning experiences for children ages 3 months to 2 years. This role requires patience, attentiveness, and a genuine love for working with young children.
Responsibilities:
Support the lead teacher in planning and implementing daily activities and routines Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children in your care Engage in age-appropriate play, learning, and caregiving tasks Assist with diapering, feeding, napping routines, and maintaining a clean classroom Build positive relationships with children, families, and fellow staff Attend staff meetings and professional development as required
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required) Coursework in Early Childhood Education or related field (preferred) Experience working with infants or toddlers in a childcare setting CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain preferred) Ability to pass background checks and health screenings All DOH trainings including SIDS and AHT (or willingness to obtain required) Warm, nurturing, and reliable team player
