In this vital role, you will support the development of children in elementary school, fostering a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment. Your energy and creativity will help children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally while ensuring their well-being through attentive supervision and positive guidance. Duties Assist in managing classroom activities and routines to promote a structured and positive learning environment for school-age children. Support children with homework, tutoring, and skill-building exercises to reinforce their academic progress. Implement age-appropriate activities such as sports coaching, arts and crafts, theater, or other enrichment programs to encourage creativity and physical development. Maintain safety by supervising children during indoor activities, outdoor play, field trips, and special events. Use behavior management techniques to foster respectful interactions and address behavioral challenges constructively. Support staff in implementing individualized plans for children with special education needs or behavioral considerations. Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including basic first aid procedures when necessary. Qualifications Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or childcare is highly desirable. Knowledge of classroom management strategies and childhood development principles. Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children. Ability to engage children actively through sports coaching, theater activities, or other creative outlets. Familiarity with behavior management techniques and special education practices is a plus.
